If you live in Florida I want to encourage you to vote Yes on Amendment 2. This will define marriage as being between one man and one woman.

Don’t like your religion? Just get a new one. That seems to be the attitude of an increasing number of people. A new poll shows that Americans are switching religions in record numbers. According to the Pew Forum survey, 44 percent of adults have switched religious affiliation or left religion altogether. The study also found that Protestantism is on the verge of becoming a minority in the U.S. and that one in 10 Americans have left the Roman Catholic Church. The research provided the most comprehensive breakdown of the country’s religious landscape to date: 78.4 percent are Christians, 16.1 percent have no religious affiliation and 5 percent belong to a non-Christian faith tradition. Among those who identified as Christians 51.3 percent were Protestant, 23.9 percent Catholic, 1.7 percent Mormon, 0.7 percent Jehovah's Witness and less than 0.3 percent each Greek or Russian Orthodox. John Green, a senior researcher with the Pew Forum, said that American religion will be “less Protestant and less Christian” in the future than it is now. [Reuters, 2/25/08, latimes.com, 2/26/08]
